When we take a step back and look at where it all started, it’s hard not to smile!
Because while Local Insights officially launched in 2017, the story really began back in 2012. That’s when three mates, Dan, Benji, and Nathan, first started working together with a simple mindset to work hard, support each other, and build something of our own…
Where It All Began
Fast forward to April 2017, and Local Insights was born with a simple mission to help local businesses grow online, improve their visibility on Google, and compete with bigger brands through smart digital marketing.
We started with virtual tour technology, helping businesses stand out in Google search results and improve their Google Business Profile presence. It was new, exciting, and most importantly…it worked.
From day one, it was all hands on deck. Dan and Benji were out building relationships and growing the business, while Nathan was behind the lens delivering high-quality visual content that helped businesses shine online.
We landed our first client… and we never looked back!
More Than Just a Digital Marketing Agency
What makes this journey special isn’t just the business growth, it’s everything that’s happened alongside it.
Over the years, we’ve gone from colleagues to business partners to something much closer to family. We’ve celebrated big milestones, supported each other through challenges, and built a team culture based on trust, loyalty, and shared ambition.
Of course, it hasn’t always been easy. Like any growing business, we’ve had disagreements, tough decisions, and moments where we’ve had to dig deep. But that’s part of building something real, and it’s what’s made us stronger.
The Journey So Far
Like any successful digital marketing agency, our journey hasn’t been a straight line.
We’ve had to adapt, pivot, and stay creative, especially during COVID-19. Losing clients overnight was tough, and it would have been easy to step back.
But instead, we doubled down. We refined our services, strengthened our SEO and social media marketing strategies, and focused on delivering even more value to our clients. That resilience paid off, and not only did we recover, but we also expanded into Australia, helping businesses grow online on the other side of the world!
What We’ve Built
Today, Local Insights has grown into a full-service digital marketing agency we’re incredibly proud of.
We’re now a team of 30+ talented people, supporting thousands of businesses across the UK and beyond. Our services span SEO, Google Listing Optimiser, social media management, paid advertising, and commercial photography, all designed to help businesses increase their online visibility and drive real results.
We don’t just “do marketing.” We work closely with businesses to help them grow, because we understand what it takes to build something from the ground up
